•  ½ lb ground chorizo or zesty hot pork sausage
  • ½ cup yellow onion, diced
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 jalapenos, seeds and ribs removed then diced (leave seeds and ribs in if you like it hot)
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped for serving
  • Vegetables for dipping-Bell peppers, celery, broccoli
  • 2 tbsp Olivino Smoked Chaabani Olive Oil


  1. Heat Smoked Chaabani Olive Oil in a large Dutch oven or skillet over medium heat. Carefully add your onions and jalapenos and sauté for 2 minutes.
  2. Add chorizo or hot Italian sausage and ½ tsp of salt. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. When the meat is browned, add in your garlic and cumin and cook for 30 seconds or just until you start to smell the garlic. Don’t let the garlic burn.
  4. Pour in tomatoes and combine with the meat mixture.
  5. Stir in the cream, combine well, and heat for a few minutes.
  6. Take the pan off the burner and add shredded cheese one handful at a time until completely melted. Check seasonings and add more salt or pepper here if necessary.
  7. Top with cilantro and dip with your favorite keto approved veggies, enjoy!
