• 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Olivino Blood Orange Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. In a medium-mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. In another lightly beat egg yolks. Add milk, butter, olive oil, and vanilla; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter using care not to over mix.
  2. Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown. 
  3. Drizzle with Olivino Blood Orange Olive Oil. Try it mixed with Olivino Vermont Maple Balsamic Vinegar. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!!
*You can also top with your favorite waffle accompaniment. Crème fraiche, fresh fruit, toasted walnuts, and of course…slices of blood orange if you like!
