• 1 (8oz) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 (28oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ cup yellow onion, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Rind of parmesan cheese block (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Olivino Ultra-Premium Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Olivino Denissimo, Traditional, or Neapolitan Herb Balsamic


  1. 1. In a saucepan, sauté onion in olive oil over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until soft and translucent.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add herbs and mix until coated.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, balsamic, and Parmesan rind. Bring to a simmer 1-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and sugar to taste.
