Oven Roasted Cabbage Steaks


  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • Olivino Ultra Premium Olive Oil of choice 
  • Course Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • Fresh Garlic, mashed 


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by spraying lightly with Olivino EVOO
  3. Remove the outer leaves, rinse the cabbage and cut off the stem.
  4. With the stem side down, cut the cabbage into 1 inch slices.
  5. Lay the 1 inch slices on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle the cabbage steaks with olive oil (both sides) and with a basting brush, distribute the olive oil ensuring good coverage.  
  7. Rub the mashed garlic on both sides of each cabbage steak.
  8. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the steaks. 
  9. Bake about 25-30 minutes until golden brown, flip the steaks and bake for another 20 minutes or so until golden brown on edges.  
  10. Serve warm.
